The Wheat Ear Cable Blanket is a repeating pattern of cables resembling a wheat ear or spike, alternating with ribbing, surrounded by a knit border.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate.

SUGGESTED MATERIALS: 5 balls ofBernat Alize Blanket-EZ Yarn(6.4oz, 180g) (Image shown is the colour ‘Dark Gray’).

SUGGESTED TOOLS: No needles required (finger knitting). Scissors.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 44" x 54" (111.5 cm x 137 cm).

PLEASE NOTE: This pattern will work with any brand of loop yarn, but keep in mind that the size of the loops, and size of the balls/skeins of each brand is different.

Lion Brand Off-The-Hook, Lion Brand Crayola Off-The-Hook, Red Heart Loop-It, and Alize Puffy yarns can all be used with this pattern, but will yield a blanket with smaller overall dimensions. You will also need more balls/skeins to complete the pattern as is (approximately 2-4).
