PATTERN: Herringbone Throw Blanket

This blanket is made up of rectangles of criss-cross stitches which form a herringbone pattern - a popular design in both flooring and suit fabrics. This geometric design is both simple and timeless!

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate.

SUGGESTED MATERIALS: 5 balls of Bernat Alize Blanket-EZ Yarn (6.4 oz/180g (Image shown is the colour ‘Dijon’).

SUGGESTED TOOLS: No needles required (finger knitting). Scissors.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 44” by 50” (112 cm by 127 cm).

PLEASE NOTE: This pattern will work with any brand of loop yarn, but keep in mind that the size of the loops, and size of the balls/skeins of each brand is different.

Lion Brand Off-The-Hook, Lion Brand Crayola Off-The-Hook, Red Heart Loop-It yarn and Alize Puffy fine yarns can all be used with this pattern but will yield a blanket with smaller overall dimensions. You will also need more balls/skeins to complete the pattern as-is (approximately 2-3, depending on yarn used).
