PATTERN: Soft Storage Pouch
YOU ARE BUYING A FINGER-KNITTING PATTERN, NOT THE FINISHED PRODUCT. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BUYING YOUR OWN MATERIALS TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT.
This PDF pattern includes written English instructions, as well as detailed photos of each step.
The Soft Storage Pouch pattern makes a small storage pouch, similar in style and dimensions to a makeup pouch, with an optional loop closure on one side. There are instructions in the pattern to guide you how to adapt this pattern to make a pouch of any size. This pattern is designed as a way to use up your leftover yarn from bigger projects!
SKILL LEVEL: Easy.
- Approx. 1/3 of a ball of Red Heart Loop-It Yarn (image shown is the colour “Berry Gorgeous”).
- 1” diameter button to close your pouch with (test your button with a loop of the yarn to find the right size).
- Material to line your pouch (optional).
- No knitting needles required (finger knitting).
- Needle and thread to sew on your button (and optional lining).
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 9” in length, 3” wide at the bottom, and 6” high (23 cm x 7.5 cm x 15 cm”) - similar to the size of a makeup pouch.
PLEASE NOTE: This pattern will work with any brand of loop yarn, but keep in mind that the size of the loops, and size of the balls/skeins of each brand are slightly different. Lion Brand Off-The-Hook, Lion Brand Crayola Off-The-Hook, and Alize Puffy yarns can all be used with this pattern to yield a pouch with mostly similar overall dimensions.
Bernat Alize Blanket-EZ yarn, however, has larger loops and larger balls/skeins so you’ll get a slightly larger pouch if you follow the pattern as is, and will need much less than 1/3 of a ball of yarn.
