This counted cross-stitch pattern uses only full stitches (2 over 2 threads), with no specialty stitches or back stitching. This is a full-coverage design.

The Fair Isle Cross-Stitch Pattern is inspired by traditional Fair Isle and Norwegian blanket patterns and features Selburose motifs. Hang a miniature blanket on your wall! This design was inspired by our original loop yarn finger-knitting blanket pattern, which can be found here.

SUGGESTED MATERIALS:
-14-count Aida
-DMC floss/thread (14 colours - less than 1 skein per colour)

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
-Approximately 6" by 6" (15.2 cm x 15.2 cm)
-81 x 81 stitches
-total 6561 stitches (full coverage)

PLEASE NOTE:
Thread/floss colours are sometimes discontinued and this is beyond our control. If a floss colour used in our sample is out-of-manufacture at the time of listing, we will suggest an alternative within the pattern. If you are unable to find a suggested colour, we recommend googling 'DMC thread discontinued colours' or 'DMC thread colour substitutions' to find a recommended alternative.

The instructions and materials listed are just suggestions for how to complete the pattern as-is. You are certainly welcome to select your own colours and modify the design in any way you choose! However, please note that changes to the stitch brand, stitch colours, fabric count and stitch size will change the dimensions, materials required, and overall look of your piece.
