The Repeating Rope Cable-Knit Blanket is a Irish Aran/Celtic-inspired design of repeating mixed cables.
NOTE: The 6th photo shown is a modified version of this pattern with a rainbow stripe insert - this blanket is for sale under Knitted Blankets - the photo is included to show an example of a full-size blanket, but the pattern does not include the stripe.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate.
SUGGESTED MATERIALS: 5 balls of Bernat Alize Blanket-EZ Yarn (6.4oz, 180g) (Image shown is the colour ‘Dark Gray’).
SUGGESTED TOOLS: No needles required (finger knitting). Scissors.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 43” by 53” (109 cm by 134.5 cm).
PLEASE NOTE: This pattern will work with any brand of loop yarn, but keep in mind that the size of the loops, and size of the balls/skeins of each brand is different.
Lion Brand Off-The-Hook, Lion Brand Crayola Off-The-Hook, Red Heart Loop-It, and Alize Puffy yarns can all be used with this pattern, but will yield a blanket with smaller overall dimensions. You will also need more balls/skeins to complete the pattern as is (approximately 2-4, depending on the yarn used).
