Grecian Mosaic Knit Blanket

This listing is for one finished handmade mosaic knit blanket made in vegan yarn.

This super-soft, handmade chenille mosaic knit blanket is knit in a mixture of blue and white, in an original mosaic-style pattern, using Bernat Alize Blanket-EZ yarn in Bright Blue and White (100% polyester). Because of the fair isle knitting technique (where different colours of yarn are interwoven in the back), about half of this blanket is double-thickness, so it is very cozy!

SIZE: Approximately 50" x 54" (127 cm x 137 cm). Please note that chenille yarn is stretchy and that because this is a hand-knit item, size may vary slightly.

ABOUT THE YARN

Chenille yarn is soft and fluffy: It feels a bit like terry cloth and looks a little bit like muppet fur (but tidier!). This vegan yarn is light-weight but very warm and cozy. There may be some shedding from your mosaic knit blanket with initial use - this should stop once the blanket settles.

Because your mosaic knit blanket is hand-knitted, there may occasionally be loose ends from where the yarn ends were tied and woven in and have come loose with use. Because this is pre-looped yarn, the chances of your mosaic knit blanket unravelling are extremely low. Simply weave any loose ends back into the blanket, or, if you wish, you can sew them in with a needle and thread.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

All I LOVE MY BLANKET items are machine-washable in cold water and can be tumble-dried on low (per manufacturer's instructions), but hand washing and hanging your mosaic knit blanket to dry is a good way to extend its life!

All blankets are sent in Spacesaver Premium Vacuum Bags, inside a poly bubble mailer, in order to maximize packing efficiency. You are free to keep and reuse the vacuum bag for storage.

When you receive your mosaic knit blanket, it will be compressed and compacted from being packaged. Don’t panic! Chenille yarn compresses and recovers well. A quick shake and rub with your hands should fluff it back to normal. You can also throw your mosaic knit blanket in the dryer for about 30 seconds on low temperature. Do not over heat!
