YOU ARE BUYING A *LOOP YARN* FINGER-KNITTING PATTERN, NOT THE FINISHED PRODUCT. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BUYING YOUR OWN MATERIALS TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT.

This PDF pattern includes written English instructions, as well as detailed photos of each step.

The Hanging Basket pattern makes a small knitted hanging basket, suitable for holding light items like masks, cosmetic pads, or light toys. There are instructions in the pattern to guide you how to adapt it to make a basket of any size. This pattern is designed as a way to use up your leftover yarn from bigger projects!

SKILL LEVEL: Easy.

SUGGESTED MATERIALS:

  • Approx. 3/4 of a ball of Lion Brand Off-The-Hook yarn (image shown is the colour “Aquamarine”) or any brand of loop yarn.

SUGGESTED TOOLS:

  • No knitting needles required (finger knitting).
  • Scissors.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 6" high and 6" in diameter, with a handle that 'hangs' 3" long.

PLEASE NOTE: This pattern will work with any brand of loop yarn, but keep in mind that the size of the loops, and size of the balls/skeins of each brand are slightly different.Lion Brand Off-The-Hook, Lion Brand Crayola Off-The-Hook, and Alize Puffy yarns can all be used with this pattern to yield a basket with mostly similar overall dimensions. Bernat Alize Blanket-EZ yarn, however, has larger loops and larger balls/skeins so you’ll get a slightly larger basket if you follow the pattern as is, and will need much less than 3/4 of a ball of yarn.
